The year 2022 saw Roger Federer bidding adieu to the sport of tennis. The Swiss maestro retired at the Laver Cup, playing his final match alongside his rival and friend, Rafael Nadal. Following his retirement, Federer has been actively involved in off-court activities. He has focused on his business ventures while spending quality time with his family. Additionally, he has attended many events worldwide, including several concerts.

Which concerts did Roger Federer attend post-retirement?

Earlier this year in July, the Swiss maestro attended the Coldplay concert. It was held in Zurich, Switzerland. The former World Number 1 had a gala time and later posed for pictures with the likes of Chris Martin and other members of Coldplay.

During that concert, Federer was also invited onto the stage by Chris Martin. Subsequently, he proved to be a man of many talents by singing a few lines in front of a massive Zurich crowd. The star-studded event was an adventure of a lifetime for the Swiss maestro.

A few days later, Federer was also seen in attendance at Elton John’s concert in the same city. The latter was on his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road The Final Tour.” Being held at Hallenstadion in Zurich, Federer attended this concert with his wife, Mirka, and the kids.

In recent days, Federer has been in the news for attending blind Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli’s concert. The event was held at the same place as Elton John’s concert. During the event, Federer turned emotional.

Why did Federer break down at Bocelli’s concert?

While Bocelli was performing on the stage, he took a moment to recognize the Swiss maestro in the crowd. The Italian said, “Among us tonight, there is a living legend, Roger Federer. For me, it’s really an honor to dedicate the last hour to him for the emotions that he gave to everybody and I would like to have him here on stage.”

Subsequently, Federer joined him on the stage and Bocelli dedicated the performance to the 20-time Grand Slam champion. Receiving such honor from the blind Italian musician turned Federer emotional and tears swelled in his eyes. The video went viral on social media and Federer’s humbleness was widely appreciated by the fans.
