Nadal was playing again the British tennis player, Cameron Norrie when the ball touched the Spaniard’s body. The close-range shot would have led to a crucial point for Nadal. However, he admitted the ball hit his body and thus conceded the point. For this, Nadal is being lavishly praised by a slew of tennis fans on social media.

It was a tense moment when the Spanish tennis legend was tied with Cameron Norrie during a thrilling match in the United Cup. Rafael Nadal played a close-range shot during the decisive set when it was all tied at 2-2 and 30-30. The ball touched the 22-time singles Grand Slam champion’s body during a fast rally between the two players. Even the umpire missed the call and the point was going to be awarded to Nadal.

However, the Spaniard didn’t let that happen as he conceded the point. A video clip of the incident emerged on social media. The sports channel hailed the Spaniard in the caption of the video, “THIS is why we love Nadal. ❤️ Crucial point in the match, he still concedes the point when the umpire misses the call. Amazing sportsmanship. 🙏”

Subsequently, the video clip sparked a flurry of reactions on social media as the tennis community praised Nadal. Notably, one of the fans said, “Always been that way … Such a class act … 👑”

Meanwhile, one of the fans compared the Spanish tennis player’ act to soccer players. The fan said, “How many footballers would do such a thing? Why do no defenders ever say “It touched me. It’s a corner”?”
