Carlos Alcaraz‘s path to the final at the Cinch’s Club Championships presents a challenging but navigable route. Currently, standing in the second-ranking position, the 2024 French Open champion has a possibility of reaching the Wimbledon finals after a successful Roland Garros run. However, his path to the Queen’s Club Championships final, a crucial Wimbledon warm-up, could be trickier than expected despite his high seeding.

As Carlitos prepares for the grass-court season, the 21-year-old tennis player is under tremendous pressure to defend his 2000 ranking points after winning his third Grand Slam title. This difficult assignment highlights the high expectations for Wimbledon when his success will be critical to preserving his current position.

Every game at the French Open, from the preliminary round to the possible championship, brought a new challenge for Alcaraz, but for the next big event, things are going to go further. He is set to play Francisco Cerundolo in the opening round, who is a strong opponent renowned for his skill on clay courts.

Moving on to the second round, the Spaniard will play the gifted Jack Draper, who might be a serious threat due to his strong game and home-court advantage. A showdown against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina(ADF) or Tommy Paul, two ATP tour players who often deliver strong performances, could occur in the quarterfinals.

If Alcaraz makes it to the semifinals, he might play Ugo Humbert or Grigor Dimitrov, two players with different playing styles who can challenge Alcaraz’s flexibility. Both players are capable of playing at a high level. Ultimately, making it to the final would probably mean facing off against one of the leading competitors, such as Ben Shelton, Holger Rune, Taylor Fritz, or Alex de Minaur.

Ferrer said, “As you all know, one of the doubles teams will be formed by Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal. The second team is yet to be decided, it’s not 100 percent certain. There is a clear idea, but we’re going to wait a little to decide it. If nothing happens to prevent it, Rafa and Carlos will be playing together in Paris.”

Before rising to the top of the world rankings for the first time, Rafael Nadal won gold in Beijing in 2008. In 2016, he added another gold medal to his collection in Rio de Janeiro, where his Olympic career flourished. It’s worth watching if this Spanish duo manages to bring home a gold for their country. Nevertheless, can Alcaraz continue his major run at Wimbledon? Do let us know in the comment section below.
