Casper Ruud had a wonderful run in the Roland Garros this year. He lost to Novak Djokovic in the finals. After that, he didn’t participate in the Queen’s Championship or Nottingham Open, but rather focused on playing golf, for example. Also, he didn’t participate in the exhibition match with Cameron Norrie in the Hurlingham Classic on June 29.
He also kept himself in a good mood by attending the concert of Weeknd in Sweden sometime back. He made some beautiful dance moves and shared them on Twitter. But being with a dog whom he treats like a son too is a part of his schedule. And recently he opened up on the management of its online presence.

Appearing in the tennis show ‘Warm and Fuzzy’ hosted by Michelle Kosta, Casper Ruud made some revelations about his pet. The interviewer showed him a picture of a dog and asked him what comes to his mind when he sees it. Ruud replied, “My dog back home, Bajas”. When Kosta asked him about the breed of his pet, Ruud revealed that it belongs to the Shih Tzu breed.
And when the interviewer asked him as to who manages its Instagram account, Ruud said that it is jointly done by him, his wife and the pet itself. The Norwegian star said,“Sometimes me, sometimes him, sometimes my girlfriend Maria. So we are all three equal, active on the page.”

But social media management is not the only thing that Casper Ruud and his girlfriend Maria Galligani do with the pet. They ensure that Bajas is present in the courts and on holiday tours with them.
Ruud’s love story with Bajas
Casper Ruud adopted the dog Bajas at the end of 2020. And Bajas has proven to be a good omen for the Norwegian star. Ruud reached the finals at Roland Garros 2022 where he lost to his idol, Rafael Nadal.

Though Bajas’s induction into the family has been good for Casper Ruud’s career, the Ruud family too takes care of him like a family member. Ruud would take Bajas to the tennis courts and pack him in the bag on the holidays. Sometime back when Ruud took Bajas to the tennis court, he shared the picture of his pet on Instagram. And captioned it with these words, “Take your child to work day”.
The Instagram of Bajas is filled with captions calling Ruud and Galligani mummy and daddy. And that tells a lot about how Ruud’s care for animals is as significant to him as his love for tennis.
