After his shocking loss, Djokovic was unable to hold back tears as he talked about the match. Despite his sadness, he did not forget to praise Alcaraz’s performance in their match. When asked what makes him a threat, Djokovic said that he is a mix of the big three.

As per him, the young Spaniard amasses the abilities of Rafael Nadal, Federer, and himself: “I think he’s got basically best of all three worlds. People have been talking in the past 12 months or so about his game consisting of certain elements from Roger, Rafa, and myself. I would agree with that.”

He further added: “I haven’t played a player like him ever, to be honest. Roger and Rafa have their own obviously strengths and weaknesses. Carlos is a very complete player. Amazing adapting capabilities that I think are a key for longevity and for successful career on all surfaces.”
