Carlos Alcaraz‘s first Wimbledon title this year brought him much praise from the tennis fraternity. So much so that British ATP star Cameron Norrie offered an exclusive compliment for this Spaniard tennis prodigy. Referring to Italy’s Davis Cup winner and ATP finalist this year Jannik Sinner, Norrie revealed why Alcaraz is a great competition to the former to become the world’s number one.
This is not the first time Alcaraz received a compliment from any tennis stalwarts. Previously present coach and former tennis star, Mansour Bahrami believed in Alcaraz’s talent to reach the standards of tennis’s famous “big three”, Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic. Recently, Cameron Norrie expressed his love for Spain’s tennis prodigy Carlos Alcaraz by putting him into a greater height than his famous rival, Italy’s Jannik Sinner. Norrie commented-“I think Alcaraz will do better than Sinner next year,” Not just direct praise for Alcaraz, Norrie mentioned the reason for his compliment. He added- “I think Alcaraz has a more complete game. He moves better than Sinner, has more variety on the forehand, better drop shots, he volleys better than Sinner. More skilful with the slice.”
Now Norrie’s comment hinted at many critics who believed Sinner had a better performance than Alcaraz this season. Now, they can’t be blamed, right? Sinner showed an extraordinary performance during this year’s ATP finals. Even after losing, he came back as more powerful on the court to bag his Davis Cup trophy.
But that doesn’t curve down Alcaraz’s brilliance at Wimbledon this year. Despite losing the ATP and Davis Cup tournaments, Alcaraz received much praise from tennis legends for his extraordinary tennis skills.

Bahrami believed that Alcaraz will dominate tomorrow’s tennis
Not just Norrie but many other former ATP legends, such as Mansour Bahrami also noticed Carlos Alcaraz’s excellent tennis skills. Although he didn’t rule out Sinner, Medvedev, Rune, and Tsitsipas, he clearly had more faith in Alcaraz taking over the tennis’s number-one position after Djokovic.
Bahrami commented- “I like Alcaraz, I like the tennis of Sinner and Tsitsipas. I like watching them. Rune is a bit provocative. He’s a kid who’s not afraid of anything. I am convinced that Alcaraz will dominate the tennis of tomorrow. He’s the future big star. If there’s one player who can match the members of the Big 3, it’s him.”
