Spanish ATP star Carlos Alcaraz seems determined to reclaim his old glory. The Spaniard, who clinched two major titles this year, ended his season as ATP number three. Undeterred by recent setback, the Spanish player channeled his focus into preparing for the next season with a strategic plan. With intense determination and relentless effort, Alcaraz proved why he could one day join the legacy of tennis’s legendary Big Three.

Alcaraz has already started preparing for the 2025 season. This Spaniard aimed to have four weeks of preseason training at the Ferrero Tennis Academy before he heads to Oceania for the season’s first major tournament. Besides the tournament, Alcaraz also made plans to celebrate Christmas and New Year at his home. When the celebration is over, he will play directly at the Melbourne Slam avoiding his participation in any other event before.

A reliable fan page of the 2024 Roland Garros champion shared the latest updates about him on X. According to their information, Alcaraz will focus on his physical training at the Academy for a few days before starting his on-court practice. Both Jack Draper and Flavio Cobolli will join Alcaraz for practice. In a nutshell, the Spaniard aims to be in the best possible shape before he participates in the Australian Open.

Right after his season concluded, the Spaniard enjoyed a vacation in Punta Cana. Upon returning, he played two exhibition matches, one in Charlotte and the other in Madison Square Garden to keep up with his form. Although he won against Shelton in front of Madison Square Garden’s roaring crowd, America’s Frances Tiafoe surprisingly beat him in the Charlotte Invitational. The result must have alerted the Spaniard for the next season.

Alaraz is on his way to become one of tennis greats – but the destination isn’t close. Alcaraz has always dreamt of reaching the standard of Tennis Big Three. Last month during Nadal’s retirement, he revealed a wish that highlighted his passion for the sport.

I will give my best every day and try to be the best possible person every day,” said Alcaraz. The 2024 Wimbledon Champion’s words echoed admiration and a zeal to become as good as Rafa, Federer, and Djokovic.
