He clarified this by tweeting, “Of course, the price goes through the roof once the finalists are known, and the only way to get tickets is through resale. People paid around $300 pre-tournament.”

Some of them also highlighted the fact a person is not permitted to purchase more than 2 tickets for the Wimbledon Championships 2024. Others complained about the fact that the semifinals witnessed more empty seats than the entire first round combined! There might be two reasons for it– either Wimbledon is charging a substantial amount for those tickets, or they’ve lost their charm.
The second one looks unlikely, though, for a 147-year-old tournament! There has been a major uproar over the scheduling of the matches, with rain playing a spoilsport across several matches. In one instance, fans felt they were a little biased with British players! Even the sponsorship deal with Barclay’s has also been the talk of the talk this year. With resale tickets going far above the expected price, will the organizers step in to help eager fans?
