Is Carlos Alcaraz the next Rafael Nadal for Spain?

Tennis and football will soon combine in a kaleidoscope of glory! With Wimbledon’s coveted crown gleaming on his head, Carlos Alcaraz is set to return to his hometown of Murcia, Spain. But the celebration will be amplified for his nation rather than doubled. Joining Alcaraz will be the Spanish soccer heroes, with their fourth Euro Cup, will also be silently waiting to etch this moment in the hearts of every sports enthusiast with a special celebration!

“Being a Spaniard, yeah, it would be a perfect Sunday,Carlos Alcaraz said before his final match at Wimbledon. Alluding to Spain’s victory in the Euro Cup as well as his win in the SW19, the 21-year-old hoped to dominate the sporting industry. Thankfully, his wish came true! On one hand, Alcaraz clinched his second consecutive title at Wimbledon, and hours later, Spain’s soccer team beat England (2-1), in the European Championship. To make the celebration even grander, the winners will go for a celebratory stroll in Madrid, the Spanish capital.

The Cibeles Square in Madrid will witness a rare joyous and triumphant parade of the Sporting gods of the nation! The soccer team has specially requested that the second-time Wimbledon champion add more charm to the occasion. Though the Spaniard has not addressed it directly in London, his presence in Cibeles, one of the major symbols of the city, will surely add more glory to the parade. After all, Alcaraz’s love for soccer is not new.

Since childhood, he has not only experimented with his racquet skills as he familiarized himself with soccer with his favorite team, Real Madrid. Therefore, even when he was busy after achieving his second Grand Slam of the season, he did not let go of the opportunity to follow the Euro Cup final. After Spain’s triumph, he took to Twitter and wrote, CAMPEONES! CAMPEONES! CAMPEONES! Qué grandes sois @SEFutbol!!! Vaya espectáculo de Eurocopa (CHAMPIONS! CHAMPIONS! CHAMPIONS! How great you are @SEFutbol!!! What a Euro Cup spectacle).”

Not only that, but his previous posts also hint at him watching the soccer closely, one of which was, GOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!! 🇪🇸 VAMOOOOOOOS!!!!, after a goal from Spain. While it is a glorious moment for Spain, they are experiencing such joy for the second time in the 21st century. In 2008, when Spain won the Euros for the second time, Rafael Nadal also won the French Open and the Wimbledon.

However, two trophies have come simultaneously for Spain on the same day. The moment adds a dose of double delight for the sports fans as both overcame giants of their sport, Alcaraz overcame Novak Djokovic in London, while Spain overcame England 2-1 in Berlin.

This moment will forever be etched into the memory of the Spaniard. However, he still refuses to call himself a champion.”

Carlos Alcaraz reveals why he does not consider himselfa champion yet”

It’s a huge honor for me to be part of those players who have achieved Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same year, said the World No. 2. But he considers this to be the beginning of a long journey. The Spaniard, who made history by completing the career surface slam at only 21, wants to carve his own path and not follow the footprints of the tennis greats.

“Really glad to be in the same table as Novak to do it. Huge champions; I don’t consider myself a champion yet, not as them, but I try to keep going, to keep building my path, my journey, the former world number 1 further added.

One more wish still remains for Alcaraz to tick off on his list: winning an Olympic gold medal for his country. But before that, it is a time for celebration! As the roar of their jubilant victories reverberates throughout the nation, a parade in the city’s iconic Cibeles Square will be the perfect backdrop for the occasion.
