Carlos Alcaraz is taking end-of-season exhibition matches seriously. After a disappointing first-round exit from the ATP Finals, the Spaniard quickly bounced back and defeated Ben Shelton 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 to win the Garden Cup at Madison Square Garden. Now, he’s gearing up for his final exhibition of the year before focusing on the 2025 season. But before that, Alcaraz is showcasing his skills in another sport.

Fans may remember him saying, “I’m so so bad at golf,” during his Wimbledon reign this year. On the court, Alcaraz excels with aggressive moves, whether it’s a topspin forehand or a drop shot. However, he admitted that he “can’t hit it straight” when it comes to golf.

This was five months ago. Coming back to the present, Alcaraz has finally improved his golf skills. Ahead of his match at the Charlotte Invitational against Frances Tiafoe, he was spotted at a golf simulator center with the former US Open champion Andy Roddick. In a clip shared on the official X account of the Served podcast, Roddick captured Alcaraz’s stunning shot that sent the virtual ball soaring.

Look at that memory.” The excitement from those around them was palpable as they reacted to Alcaraz’s impressive shot. It looks like Carlos is heading into his next match with positive thoughts.

While Carlos is showing off some skills on the golf course, he recently achieved a significant milestone by completing his third consecutive year in the top three rankings.
