Despite retiring last year, Roger Federer is trending in the tennis world right now. The Swiss Maestro has made his way to Vancouver to witness the Laver Cup that is currently ongoing. Before the start of the tournament, Federer took the court to play some rallies against Jim Courier. During that brief play, the former World Number 1 gave a flashback to his peak years in tennis. But as Day 2 of the tournament rolled around, Federer made the news for a slightly different reason.

As Casper Ruud and Tommy Paul battled it out for their teams, Federer made a grand appearance in the stands along with a familiar face, which left fans in a frenzy! Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin and lead guitarist Jonny Buckland were present to witness the action in Vancouver. They were seated beside Federer and the group was engrossed in a deep discussion. Here’s how the fans reacted to their video, which went viral on social media.

Earlier this year, the Swiss Maestro was present at the Coldplay concert that took place in Zurich, Switzerland. During the concert, Federer was invited by Martin to the stage where he turned musician for the band, proving to be a man of many qualities. With Jonny Buckland, Chris Martin and Federer being spotted sitting and chatting together at the Laver Cup, fans reminisced about their reunion.

As their video went viral on Twitter, one fan said, “Okay! I can die happy now.”

Another fan indicated that Federer should join the band by commenting, “The band still needs its percussionist, right?!”

One of the Twitter users adored Martin’s presence with Federer by saying: “For you Coldplay. Friendship with Roger and with BTS! My heart.”

After Federer performed on the stage during the Coldplay concert, the band acknowledged his efforts during the glittering evening in Zurich. While it was an ‘adventure of a lifetime’ for the Swiss legend, Coldplay light-heartedly commented on his post, ?You were flawless on the shaker, Roger. Is there anything you can?t do?!?

Federer has clearly been enjoying his post-retirement life lately. While being away from tennis, he has focused on his business ventures and spending quality time with his family.
