The war of words between Nick Kyrgios and Boris Becker appears to be on its second round! While both of the tennis entities were involved in a recent argument regarding the credibility of Nick Kyrgios’ comment that targeted the renowned coach, fans have a new comment to shift their attention to.

While fans started to think that Nick Kyrgios was getting out of his controversial image after the recent Tennis Channel gig, the Aussie recently gave a reason to deny their thoughts. While the argument between the Aussie and Novak Djokovic‘s ex-coach was ignited with enough heat, Boris seems to have graciously dropped the weapon.

Boris Becker calms the fire on his debate with Nick Kyrgios

As the Aussie got himself involved in a heated argument with Holger Rune’s current coach Boris Becker over a comment that differentiated the playing capabilities of young and older generations, the German coach seems to have taken an exit.

While the debate that surrounded player performances over generations went personal, the Aussie tried to make it personal. Nick, who felt offended as Boris questioned the credibility of his comment, went personal on the German coach as he commented, “Hahahaha this bloke speaking about credibility…… last I checked you were the one hiding assets no?” 

Nick Kyrgios, the Australian tennis star who has been out of the game for a long time now, hasn’t really been out of the headlines. Be it his recent commentator gig at the Nitto ATP Finals or his attempt to fix the recent controversies, the former world no.13 managed to stay a part of discussions.

Being a man who chooses honor and respect before ego and unnecessary controversies, Boris took a swift exit from the debate and added a new comment that said, I wish Nick a speedy full recovery and can’t wait to see him back on a tennis court! He is an exciting player when he is fit ! He has got a Grand Slam in his bag but you have to do the talking on the court ….good luck!” After Becker’s attempts to end the debate on a good note, fans now look forward to how the Aussie takes it.

Fans choose to be on the offensive side against Kyrgios

While Boris Becker decided to end the argument with a comment that asked Kyrgios to prove his words on the court, fans appeared to be in a different mood. As the tennis fans saw another controversy from the Australian tennis star come up in such a way, they didn’t seem to be done with the argument.

A fan, matching tone with several others who came up with similar replies, spoke from Becker’s side as he mentioned, “Those assets have nothing to do with tennis. He has grandslams and he hung around the tennis field for 40 years. He’s seen generations of players. Coached one of the GOATs. He is speaking about tennis. Try talking tennis or else shift to NBA mate.”

With the fans paying attention and presenting their sides on the debate between a player and a renowned coach, it still remains to be seen if the debate cools down or catches another ignition.
