The most anticipated multi-millionaire dollar event of the year is here. Everyone is excited about the event, with celebrities providing last-minute updates about their attendance. Moreover, Roger Federer will be making his debut as co-chair of the lavish celebrity event.

Instead of just attending as a guest, this time, he will co-chair the event with Penelope Cruz, Dua Lipa, and Ana Wintour. However, there is also disappointing news for the fans as a very notable frequent attendee of the Met Gala will be missing out on this year’s grand event.

Roger Federer won’t be sharing the spotlight with ‘Queen of the Met Gala’ 

Blake Lively, popularly known as the Met Gala queen, who would attend the event often since 2008, will not be there this year. The ‘Gossip Girl’ star recently revealed to People, that she won’t be appearing at the main event’s red carpet. Safe to say,  many people waiting for the American actress’s incredible red-carpet outfit have been left disappointed.

Lively disclosed that she will be watching the Met Gala from her house this year. The American actress recently had her fourth child. However, she did not state the reason for her absence from this year’s most glamorous event.

In a gown created by Atelier Versace, the American actress truly exceeded everyone’s expectations last year. In front of the crowd, her princess-style rose gold attire turned into an aqua blue fairytale gown. The stunning unwrapped gown served as the ideal illustration of why she is referred to as the Met Gala Queen.

Meanwhile, the co-chairs of the famous event this year had to deal with a wide range of problems that came up during the preparation of the event.

Just a few days ago, there was an alarming update about the Federer co-chaired event making an exorbitant move.

Federer co-chaired event makes an expensive move 

The biggest fashion event of the year has reportedly gone through a significant transformation, which could cause a lot of concern for the attendees. The entry prices for the event have undergone an expensive revision. Each guest was required to pay an entry fee of  roughly $30,000 last year, but the organizers have decided to increase the fee by $20,000 this year.

Therefore, this year’s entry fee is close to $50,000 which will cost some celebrities a sizable portion of their earnings. But the multi-millionaire event also serves a charitable purpose in addition to being a celebrity gathering. And the funds from the event will benefit the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
