The draw of the US Open 2021 is out and it looks like fans will be witnessing some quite intriguing tennis at the upcoming major. Even though Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer will not be there at the Grand Slam this year, Novak Djokovic will begin as the top-seeded player in New York.
World No.1 Novak Djokovic has got a pretty tough path at the US Open 2021. Although he will be facing a qualifier in the very first round of the US Open 2021, many in-form next-gen players including Matteo Berrettini, Alexander Zverev, and Hubert Hurkacz are at his side of the draw.

Novak Djokovic might face Alexander Zverev in the semis, likely to lock horns with Daniil Medvedev in the finals of the US Open 2021
After facing the qualifier in the first round, Djoker will face either Jan-Lennard Struff or Tallon Griekspoor in the second round. It is after this stage that the draw gets really tough for the World No.1 player.

Djokovic can meet Kei Nishikori or Gael Monfils in the third round of the Grand Slam. If he manages to get past this round, Alex de Minaur or Aslan Karatsev will be waiting for him in the next round. Interestingly, Karatsev is one of the players who have beaten the Serbian legend this year.
If Nole advaces to the quarters, he is likely to encounter Matteo Berrettini or Hubert Hurkacz. If he successfully passes this challenge, he can face Alexander Zverev or Denis Shapovalov in the semis before possibly encountering Daniil Medvedev or Stefanos Tsitsipas in the finals.
