Over the last few years, Pickleball has seen massive growth in America. From former tennis players to fans, there has been a serious incline in the number of players playing pickleball. Seeing the soaring popularity of the sport, various tournaments are being held. One among them will be the Pickleball Slam 2, which will be held in February next year. What makes the tournament even more special is the fact that it will have some of the biggest names that tennis has ever seen. From the likes of Andre Agassi to his wife Steffi Graf, John McEnroe to Maria Sharapova, they all will feature at the upcoming event.

However, just months before the start of the tournament, tennis legend Andre Agassi has come up with a special message for his rival McEnroe. With his sights set on the title, Andre made an interesting revelation as he claimed to shock his opponents.

The upcoming Pickleball Slam match on February 4th will feature tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf facing off against John McEnroe and Maria Sharapova. It has created a lot of excitement among the fans and the legends themselves. When asked about their participation in this event, Agassi talked about how excited he was for the event. Not only this, he also mentioned his curiosity about facing John McEnroe.

For Agassi, this pickleball match represents more than just a fun outing. The event will mark a return to the sporting arena and is an opportunity for him and Graf to share an experience together. He further went ahead to mention that even though the game might look simple, it still requires a lot of physical strength. “I mean, it’s been fun. It’s been an outlet for us in our life to do something together to you know, I mean, physical outlets been crazy promises a lot more physical than you think. You know, it’s a real community kind of experience,” said Agassi in the interview.

He further went ahead to mention that he was quite confident about defeating the legendary John McEnroe in the upcoming slam and take home the title. “And tennis kind of translates and kind of doesn’t. So it’s gotten in that process. And plus, I want to beat the sh*t out of Mac. Pretty, pretty straightforward, I think,” he further added.

Thus, as it seems, Andre Agassi is really very excited to team up with his wife and cause havoc on the pickleball court. While he will have his sights set on the title, he will really be looking forward to having a one-sided match with the legend McEnroe himself. While Andre Agassi looks confident of defeating McEnroe, the legendary American also has a message for the tennis couple.

John McEnroe has a strong message for the tennis couple

Sporting banter is something that keeps the craze of the game alive among the fans. While Agassi looks determined to defeat McEnroe, it now comes out that the player-turned-commentator has a strong message for him as well. In a recent interview, the former player said that despite Agassi having Graf by his side, he has also strengthened his squad with the addition of former Russian star player Sharapova.

“Andre, as we get ready for pickleball Slam 2, I know you have a new secret weapon. I know she is awesome, Steffi Graf, your wife. But I have one too. Hang on there, let me show you. It’s Maria Sharapova. Get ready to rumble baby,” said McEnroe.

Thus, one thing is for sure, these two will produce one of the most epic encounters in the history of the game. As they both eye title win and a massive prize pool, the fans would be thrilled once the legends reappear on the grand stage.
