The 27-year-old 2022 Wimbledon finalist recently took to his Instagram account to share an old clip from his active tennis days. In that clip, Kyrgios was seen giving tough competition to the Russian tennis player, explaining his take that there is someone who is more capable of winning than the Russian star, who recently won the Monte Carlo Masters.
Along with that video, he made sure to detail what he was trying to indicate. He wrote, “Tryna get my body right, I know what I’m capable of doing.”

Subsequently, he recalled how in the past, he has defeated the 25-year-old tennis player with more grace on the tennis court. Seeing the 27-year-old show amazing confidence in himself, his fans supported his take, as some posted comments such as “Interesting timing to post a video of you against Rublev”, “The timing”, and “Tennis needs you!” among others.
It is worth noting that the Australian star considered his victory in the second round of the 2022 Miami Open against Rublev as one of his best ever matches.
