Coming into the Australian Open this year, the Serbian sensation Novak Djokovic has not had the best of campaigns in terms of his interaction with the fans. After successfully winning the title 10 times, he was eyeing his 11th on the run. However, despite making his way into the fourth round of the tournament, he had to go through a series of backlashes from the fans.

Recently playing into the third round match against Tomas Martin Etcheverry, Novak Djokovic had to yet again force his way around some fans who tried their best to poke the Serbian. However, the Djoker kept his cool and came out with a perfect response for the heckler.

In the third round of the Australian Open against Tomas Martin Etcheverry, Novak Djokovic not only secured a convincing 6-3, 6-3, 7-6 victory but also showed remarkable calmness when faced with a heckler in the crowd. Just as Djokovic prepared for match point, someone yelled, “Get vaccinated.” Without missing a beat, Djokovic replied with a powerful ace, sealing the win and silencing the distraction.

The moment captured the intensity of the match and showed Djokovic’s mental strength on and off the court. Despite the unexpected interruption, Djokovic stayed focused while managing to serve the ace and win the match.

Thus, Novak Djokovic did not get the warmest of reception during the third-round match at the Australian Open. While the fan poked him, he came up with a perfect answer to this.

Talking about Djokovic’s campaign at the Australian Open so far, it hasn’t gone well in terms of his interaction with the fans. During his second-round match as well, he had to deal with some backlash from the fans. However, his BFF Nick Kyrgios came out to his rescue.

Playing his second match of the tournament, Novak Djokovic faced home favorite Alex Popyrin. It was pretty evident that Alex would have received all the support that he could from the fans. The same thing happened and unfortunately, Djokovic was at the receiving end of foul comments from the fans who even tried to disrupt his focus.

Eventually, at a point, the Serbian seemed to lose his cool and was engaged in some with the fans. However, out of nowhere, coming to his rescue was none other than his close friend Nick Kyrgios. The Aussie badass suggested that he felt like going into the court and defending the Serbian.

“When he was heckling you Novak, I said to the commentary box and everybody worldwide I was like ‘If you want me to jump in the crowd and sort him out, I’ll do it for you bro’. “I’ve got your back, 100 per cent,” said Kyrgios.

Thus, Novak Djokovic did not have the best of encounters at the Australian Open so far. Coming into the tournament as a hot favorite, he could not withstand the hatred that pulled at him during his match against the home favorite.
