After not playing for six months with a career-threatening foot injury, Nadal is having a dream start to this season. He is unbeaten this year and is on a nine-match winning streak, going into the finals of the Australian Open.
Before the opening Grand Slam of the season, the Spaniard lifted the Melbourne Summer Set title. Further, the Spaniard is into his 29th Grand Slam final after defeating Matteo Berrettini 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

After his semifinal encounter, Nadal was emotional as he packed his kit bag, denoting what this victory meant to him. Further, he will take on the winner of Daniil Medvedev vs Stefanos Tsitsipas in the finals.
