Sinner has had one of the best seasons of his tennis career this year. He won the biggest title of his career in 2023 when he defeated Alex de Minaur to clinch the ATP Masters 1000 Canadian Open. Additionally, he has performed consistently throughout the season. As a result, he has propelled himself to the fourth spot on the ATP rankings chart and earned his qualification for the ATP World Tour Finals.

On the contrary, Tsitsipas has been heavily inconsistent this year. He started the season with a bang by reaching the Australian Open final. However, his form slowly dipped, and he was affected by injuries as well, which prevented him from giving his best.

Further, the Greek star has drawn a ton of criticism for his heavily publicized relationship with Spanish beauty, Paula Badosa. However, he’ll have to shift his focus completely to tennis if he is to succeed in the tournament in Turin. His first challenge will be against Sinner, a player he’s had a good record against.

Although this will be their first meeting at the World Tour Finals, they have played twice against each other this year, with both players winning a match apiece. Thus, their Round 1 clash at the year-capping tournament promises to be an exciting contest – one which tennis fans can’t miss out on.

Prediction: Sinner to continue his good form

Although Sinner retired midway at the Paris Masters, he’s back to full fitness. Further, he’s already won two titles last month and is in the form of his life. Thus, it will be a difficult challenge for Tsitsipas to overcome Sinner and the Italian star is predicted to prevail in straight sets.
