Tommy Paul currently has the spotlight on him. The ATP star became the star of the show in London, winning the third tour-level title of his career. While his recent win over Lorenzo Musetti helped him achieve a historical feat, it also gave him a push in rankings. Taylor Fritz, who ruled the rankings chart among American ATP stars, might be concerned now as a new competitor has entered the race.

Tommy Paul has claimed his place as the top American men’s tennis player after a remarkable victory at the Queen’s Club Championships in London. The 27-year-old defeated Italian Lorenzo Musetti on Sunday with an impressive 6-1, 7-6(8) win to secure the Queen’s title. This victory marks the biggest ATP Tour title of Paul’s career, adding more value to his previous wins in Stockholm and Dallas.

Following this victory, Paul, who is currently ranked No. 13, will move up to No. 12 in the world rankings. Along with moving one step closer to the top 10, Tommy Paul will also surpass one of his compatriots.

Tommy Paul has multiple reasons to celebrate at the moment. Besides him, other ATP stars also used the recent tournament in London to achieve a notable rise in their rankings. American ATP star Sebastian Korda seemed to be in massive form throughout his run. He managed to secure a spot in the SF where he battled against Tommy Paul but finally had to go off with disappointment.

Although his journey for the title was hindered, he still experienced a fine rise in his rankings, moving up three spots to claim the 20th position. The Briton Jack Draper on the other hand, also experienced a notable rise. Earning 90 points before losing Paul in the QF, the 22-year-old managed to move up two spots to reach the 29th position. As everyone now looks forward to the grass-court major event, it remains to be seen if they will be able to defend their new positions.
