Facing a tough contender in Lorenzo Musetti in the finals, the American player made no mistake in demonstrating exceptional skills. 

While the first set of the match looked like a cakewalk for Paul with him winning it 6-1, the second set was not so easy. However, he ultimately won that as well, 7-6(8), thanks to Musetti’s backhand misfire. While his win definitely impressed the tennis community, what caught the attention further was his love for his girlfriend Paige.

After winning his first title on grass, Paul was seen posing with the silverware trophy. He was also joined by his model girlfriend, who seemed to embrace the Queen’s club champion in her arms. This gesture caught the attention of the tennis community who have been since singing praises for the couple. Meanwhile, the couple have often demonstrated similar gestures in the past as well.

Tommy Paul and Paige Lorenze have been dating since October 2022. Since then, the social media influencer has been spotted in the box for several of his matches. The 2023 Australian Open showed another sweet moment between Lorenze and Paul, where the American player hugged her after his quarterfinal win. Paul achieved a huge career milestone at the venue, becoming the first American man to reach the semifinals since 2009. Meanwhile, the American did not fail to appreciate the role of his team in the victory.

Speaking after the match, the 27-year-old expressed his happiness in fulfilling his goal. “Hearing about the names [of previous winners] in the locker room, it is unbelievable. It was my goal to put my name next to them,” Paul said. “Thank you to my whole team.” Meanwhile, the World No. 12 is now eyeing a Wimbledon achievement.

Speaking at the post-match conference, the Champion player hailed his opponent, Musetti. “I want to congratulate Lorenzo on a good week. He’s been playing amazing tennis,” Paul said. “I’m happy to get the win today. I’m happy to share the court with you.” Continuing further, he highlighted the confidence that the win has given him. “This is the perfect way to go to Wimbledon.”
