The 2023 ATP Finals has etched a rare chapter in tennis history as Novak Djokovic and rising star Carlos Alcaraz head a semifinal lineup featuring the World No.1, No.2, No.3, and No.4. This is a feat that has been witnessed only three times previously since 1990. Back in 1990, it was the quartet of Ivan Lendl, Andre Agassi, Stefan Edberg, and Boris Becker who managed to make it through to the last 4.

Fast forward to 2004, Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Lleyton Hewitt, and Safin managed to secure their way into the semi-finals of the prestigious tournament. After another 16 years, back in 2020, the same milestone was created yet again. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, and Daniil Medvedev managed to secure their way into the semi-finals of the tournament. It is only 3 years later that the milestone is created yet again.

Thus, coming into the semi-finals of the ATP Finals, a new record was created. With 4 best players at the moment taking on each other for glory, it will be interesting to see who makes it through to the finals. While this record was already created, Novak Djokovic could also make a new record this year as well.
