The ATP Next Gen Finals this year has been special for Arthur Fils. Coming into the tournament as a hot favorite, the French star showed no sign of stopping and went ahead to claim a spot in the semi-finals with his exceptional performances. On the other hand, his opponent Dominic Stricker did not have the best of starts of the tournament. In the very first match, he suffered a defeat at the hands of Flavio Cobolli. The final scoreline of the match remained 4-2, 3-4, 4-1, 4-2 in favor of the Italian player.

However, in the second match, he turned things around as he faced 7th-seeded Italian player Luca Nardi. In straight sets, he manages to defeat him. The final scoreline of the match was 4-1, 4-1, 4-2.
