The ATP Next Gen Finals this year has been special for Arthur Fils. Coming into the tournament as a hot favorite, the French star showed no sign of stopping and went ahead to claim a spot in the semi-finals with his exceptional performances. Looking to end his group-stage campaign on a high, he would be going head-to-head against young Swiss prodigy Dominic Stricker who had a campaign of slight ups and downs.

The young French star had high hopes coming into the tournament and he quite clearly stood onto them. Playing his first match against the seven-seeded Luca Nardi, he had to play his best tennis as the match went to a 5-set thriller. The final scoreline of the match was 2-4, 4-3, 4-2, 1-4, 4-2 in favor of the French star.

However, things were quite easy for him in the next match. Facing yet another Italian opponent Flavio Cobolli, he did not have to struggle much as he secured a straight 3-set victory. The final scoreline of the match ended 4-1, 4-2, 4-2 in favour of Fils.

On the other hand, his opponent Dominic Stricker did not have the best of starts of the tournament. In the very first match, he suffered a defeat at the hands of Flavio Cobolli. The final scoreline of the match remained 4-2, 3-4, 4-1, 4-2 in favor of the Italian player.

However, in the second match, he turned things around as he faced 7th-seeded Italian player Luca Nardi. In straight sets, he manages to defeat him. The final scoreline of the match was 4-1, 4-1, 4-2.

The head-to-head statistics between the two players make the Swiss player a clear winner over his rival. Interestingly, these two players faced each other only once and Dominic Stricker was a clear winner in the match.

In an evenly contested match, it was the Swiss player who went past his opponent with a scoreline of 7-6, 7-6.

Arthur Fils has displayed clear signs of dominance coming into the tournament, With the form that he has displayed into the tournament, he could be the one who could lay his hands on victory this time around as well and make a perfect 3-on-3 in the group stage.
