The ATP 250 tournament in Munich is up in action, serving fans with high entertainment levels. Several top names like Holger Rune, and Alexander Zverev tried their luck to make it to the finals but somehow ended up in disappointment. After one German had to rest his hopes, Jan-Lennard Struff stepped forward to hold the baton. While the tennis star secured his place in the finals, he had to jump through hoops to get there.

The fact that Struff secured a spot in the finals against Taylor Fritz took every fan’s expectations to new heights. However, behind his glorious run for the title, there was a hectic mismatch in schedule that he had to manage. The real hustle began when his quarterfinal match against Felix Auger Aliassime had to be rescheduled due to heavy rains.

The match, which was scheduled to be played on 19th April was halted after the first and was resumed on the next day where the German finished the match with a massive 7-5, 4-6 win. Moving ahead with his run, the tennis star had to play another match on the same day against Holger Rune. While everyone expected that he would have to face difficulty playing against the young Dan, the odds turned out to be on the contrary.

Struff managed to get the victory on the side in straight sets, making Rune feel helpless on the court. Along with that, his doubles participation aligned with the singles as he partnered up with Andreas Mies to take on Theo Arribage and Victor Vlad Cornea and secured a win in that as well. As he looks forward to his schedule for today, the German ATP star is set to play both singles and doubles finals, counting as five matches that he played in slightly over 24 hours.

Now that he gears up for the finals, it still remains to be seen if he will be able to defy the odds.

German ATP star Jan Lennard Stuff’s victory over Holger Rune came as a surprise for every fan. The fact that he gained a smooth win over the defending champion with a final scoreline of 6-2, 6-0 not only made everyone bow down to his dominance but also stuffed him up with new hopes. As soon as the tennis star defeated the young Dan, he came forward to express his pride over the victory.

“It was close to a perfect match, unbelievable,” he said, reflecting on the massive score that he attained. Along with that, he also mentioned the fact that he carries high hopes for the upcoming match against Taylor Fritz, saying, “The result shows just how many things came together. I hope I can take the last step.”
