Tennis courts might be home to epic battles and fierce focus, but they’re also a place where unexpected humor shines through! With the ATP Finals in full swing, fans got a dose of that fun side, thanks to none other than Taylor Fritz‘s girlfriend, Morgan Riddle. Always a courtside star, Morgan stole the spotlight with a hilariously unexpected gesture that had everyone laughing.

Riddle and Fritz started dating each other in 2020 and since then the internet personality is often seen in the stands supporting her beau. She has expressed immense support for Fritz and has captured headlines often for her gestures on the courts. However, her gesture this time did not depict support for the American but rather reflected upon her boredom because of the first match at the ATP Finals in Turin. 

Fritz, who is on a remarkable run this season, took on Daniil Medvedev in his first match at the season finale. He clinched a remarkable victory over the Russian star in a straight set 6-4, 6-3, demonstrating impeccable skills. But despite the high stakes that the match involved, Riddle seemed to be not pleased enough. She was seen yawning in the stands which quickly captured the attention of the fans with one of them taking to X to share a picture of Riddle and captioned it “Morgan😭.”

As soon as this post gained traction, several fans took to the microblogging platform and took funny digs at not just Riddle, but the entire match in general. In fact, some of them even claimed that their reaction was no different from the 27-year-old.

Taking to X, one user sarcastically wrote, “I thought the same thing 🤣🤣 She definitely loves tennis 🤪,” claiming that Riddle was not interested in the sport in general. Remember, Riddle is not directly associated with the sport but has often been linked to it for her brand deals. While she is often present watching Taylor Fritz, fans believe that her love for tennis is not great enough. This comes despite Riddle’s claims that she is working with her beau to “make tennis cool again.”

In an interview with People last year, Riddle said, “I think that he appreciates that we both have this collective goal of bringing it (tennis) to a younger crowd. He does his part of it and I do mine.” However, her latest gesture did not stop the fans from hilariously mocking her. Meanwhile, some other users took a dig at the match itself. 

Responding to the post, another user wrote, “yeah girl that’s about the interest level of this match.” With two tennis sensations taking on against each other in the season finale, the fans expected some thrill. However, the match turned out to be one side from the beginning with Fritz taking control throughout. This made the users support Riddle’s gesture and stand by her side. More users joined the fray with similar reactions. 

“Me watching Medvedev’s antics,” wrote another user. For the unversed, the Russian star gained enough flak throughout the match for his bizarre actions. With a set down, he was seen infuriated as he smashed the racquet against the ground. His gestures continued in the second set as well as he trailed 4-2. Daniil Medvedev threw his racquet off the court and this time, he was handed a point penalty. The Russian star was also seen tossing his racquet up in the air without making much attempt to hold it back as it eventually fell on the ground. He even held the racquet upside down which once again left the spectators scratching their heads.

One more user reacted to Riddle’s yawning and wrote, “she’s like “come on tennis again” 😭.” Interestingly, Riddle has highlighted her passion for the sport time and again and how it helps her amass a huge fanbase with largely positive feedback. “I think people understand I’m just trying to make wholesome content about my life and traveling and the sport as a whole,” she told People. However, the latest comments drawing in are highlighting that she is also receiving some flak, and while the tennis WAG has a huge fanbase, the feedback is not necessarily positive always. 

Yet another user backed Riddle and simply wrote, “Same Morgan. Same.” For now, it would be interesting to see if Morgan Riddle would come out to respond to these remarks and depict her humorous side once again.
