It has all come down to the final of the ATP Finals and only the two best players of the tournament remain now. Novak Djokovic, who, before the start of the tour ament said that he would win the tournament has made his way into the finals yet again as he looks for the 7th title. Not only this, he would also be looking to defend his title.

But standing his way this time around will be the Italian powerhouse Jannik Sinner. Having made his way into the first finals, he would be looking to end the year on a high and stun the Serbian with the backing of his home crowd. Another day and another sensational performance for Novak Djokovic. The Serbian player, who has been in the form of his life this year has made it through to the final of the ATP Finals yet again. After stumbling during the group stage, the Serbian finally looks to have made a bold statement just hours before the final.

Coming into the tournament he already suggested that he would win the finals yet again. However, in the group stage, he suffered an early blow after he was defeated by home favorite Jannik Sinner. But he came back to form in a do-or-die match against Hubert Hurkacz. Having made his way into the semi-finals, he faded the tough task of Carlos Alcaraz. However, the Serbian did not fear him and made this match look easy. With the score line of 6-3, 6-2, he easily made his way into the finals.

On the other hand, his opponent in the finals, Jannik Sinner has enjoyed a run in the tournament. The Italian has won all of his matches so far. From defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-4 in his very first match to defeating Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 in the semi-finals, he has been one of the stars to look out for it during the event.

When it comes to the head-to-head statistics between the two players, Djokovic is a clear winner among the two. Having played each other a total of four times, the Serbian has prevailed victorious on three occasions.

Their first-ever encounter came at the ATP Masters 1000 Monte Carlo back in 2021. In a completely one-sided dominance, it was the Serbian who won the match in straight sets with the score line of 6-4, 6-2.

On the other hand, their most recent encounter came just a few days back at the ATP Finals itself. It was during the group stage match that the Italian player had the backing of the home crowd. Looking for his 7th title, the Serbian player could create history this year in Turin. Having leveled the record with Roger Federer, he would be willing to create a league of his own and etch his name into the history books with a triumphant win.
