Tennis sweethearts Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas rule the court and the hearts of fans. Whether they’re supporting each other from the stands or sharing sweet moments on social media, the duo never fails to mesmerize their fans. However, it seems their relationship has also become a topic of playful banter among their peers. In the latest amusing twist, Belarusian tennis star Aryna Sabalenka couldn’t resist a friendly tease at Paula Badosa over her taste in men.

Badosa an Sabalenka are very close friends off the court. They have often shared their difficulty facing each other and how they try to keep their friendship away during matches. After their third-round encounter at the French Open, Sabalenka admitted the difficulties. “It’s very tough; we have to separate things. I try not to watch the other side and just bring my best game.” Close friendship calls for some teasing and Sabalenka is no different.

In a video featured on Berlin Open’s Instagram post, Aryna Sabalenka can be heard talking about her friend Paula Badosa. When asked which shot of the Spaniard is the best according to Sabalenka, she said it’s a tough question to answer. She further highlighted that she should be asked some different questions, like what’s her type of guy. “I mean obviously Greek,” she said. Adding to the fun was another close friend who completes the trio, Ons Jabeur.

When asked who is the favorite person of the Spaniard when she is on tour, Sabalenka pointed toward Jabeur and highlighted the past statements of Badosa. In an interaction earlier this year ahead of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, Paula Badosa claimed Ons as her go-to person when she is on a tour. However, she did not fail to establish herself as the closest friend of Badosa. She said that while the 26-year-old claims Jabeur as her best friend on tour, it is Aryna who is her actual soulmate.

Badosa has been dating the Greek tennis player, Stefanos Tsitsipas, since 2023. The couple publicly announced their relationship in 2023 at Wimbledon. While they went through a rough patch in May 2024 and broke up for a while, the couple reunited in just a few weeks. Recently, the Greek also shared his affection for his girlfriend.

One of the most pleasant people on the circuit, I greatly admire your great competitiveness.” Continuing further, he called Sinner the face of the sport in the future. “In my opinion, he is a great representative of this sport, tennis needs people like him because he is a great example for children and for all working people.
