After a hectic schedule around the world this year, most players are currently participating in the Davis Cup Finals in Madrid before heading for their pre-season preparation. Top stars such as Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev are representing their countries Serbia and Russia respectively.

The revamped version of Davis Cup Finals, which came to light a couple of years ago, will witness 18 teams participating in the tournament to be played for a week.The event is scheduled to take place in three different venues – Madrid, Innsbruck, and Turin.
Shakira attends the Davis Cup Finals 2021 Day one in Madrid
The first tie this year at the Davis Cup Finals took place between Canada and Sweden. Team Canada is playing without two of its brightest stars(Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov). On the other hand, team Sweden has got a young talent in the form of Milkael Ymer.
Attending the first tie between these two teams is famous singer and songwriter, Shakira. The Colombian posted a tweet from the stadium.

Canada lost both their matches to Sweden, who won the first tie. The Ymer brother(Elias and Mikael) put up commanding performances against Steven Diez and Vasek Pospisil.
Despite Pospisil trying his best to win the match against Mikael, the Swedish player managed to win crucial points to close out the contest.
Cilic is playing an important role in Croatia’s command over Australia

At the moment, two ties are taking place. France is battling against Czech Republic whereas Australia faces Croatia. Former world no.3 Marin Cilic is playing for Croatia.
In the singles rubber against Alex de Minaur, Cilic managed to clinch the first set but the Aussie came back in style to win the second. In the deciding third set, the Croatian trumped Alex to register a memorable victory for his team.
