Will Rafael Nadal end his career like the Roger Federer way? Just a moment after it was announced that Nadal would join Team Europe to participate in the seventh edition of the Laver Cup, the internet got flooded with a flurry of reactions. Several tennis players, former players, fans, and many more expressed their opinions on this decision. And now, American tennis legend Andy Roddick joins the list. Roddick isn’t ready to rule out the chances of having a Federer-like career ending for the ‘King of Clay.‘
During the recent episode of the podcast, ‘Served with Andy Roddick‘, he had a conversation with Jon Wertheim. Roddick looked quite optimistic about Nadal having a similar ending to the Swiss Maestro. He said it would be a positive way for the Spanish tennis legend to retire from that event. “Laver Cup wins by him saying he’s going to play it. It’s kind of created. If he does it and this is the last place he plays and he plays doubles, they’re kind of creating this place where we can basically curate your goodbye. Like we’ll let you know we’ll make the entire weekend and honor our Champion,” Roddick said.
