The upcoming Laver Cup is going to be a historic event. The tournament will not only have the honor of acting host to the 20 times Grand Slam champion Roger Federer’s last dance but also it will display the big four in one camp. As Andy Murray, the British tennis ace has finally decided to grace the platform.

The O2 arena of London will, for the first time and the last time, witness Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Murray play for the same team. Here’s what Murray had to say about the same.
Andy Murray about his Laver Cup debut
The former World no.1 while in the interview prior to the event shared his feelings regarding the event. He said, “I’m pumped. I’ve watched the last few years on the TV and it always looked brilliant, great atmosphere, unique really.”
Thereafter, the three times Grand Slam champion added. “These are guys that I competed against throughout my whole career, and it’s been extremely challenging.”
“So I’m very much looking forward to being part of the same team as them.” Murray will represent Team Europe alongside the other big four players in the fifth edition of the tournament.

The Laver cup will begin on Friday and will crown its winner on 25th September. Further, Team Europe, captained by Björn Borg, will also have the French Open and US Open finalist Caper Rudd and former World no.3 Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Murray’s noteworthy runs of this season
The two times Wimbledon champion, after struggling with persistent injuries, displayed a performance full of ups and downs. Although Murray didn’t have an impactful run in all the four Grand Slams, there were some peaks in this season for him. Starting with the ATP 250 event of Sydney.
