Rublev’s leap into the fashion arena wasn’t just a whim. It held a deeper purpose for him. As fans eagerly awaited an insight into the inspiration behind his newly launched ‘Rublo’ clothing line, the Russian unveiled a motivation beyond the threads and stitches. Rublev revealed: “I wanted to do something with clothes that would have a meaning or message.”

This wasn’t a mere dive into the aesthetics. It was a conscious decision to infuse purpose into each fabric. His inspiration didn’t stem from the glitz of the fashion world but rather from observing the struggles of families and children during his travels. He further stated: “In one moment, I just thought, why not try to do a mix of both things that are important to me?” Rublev’s vision was clear, he wanted to merge his love for fashion with a heartfelt mission to make a difference. In his words: “I want to do it more openly so the people know exactly how much money we could collect.” This transparency was crucial for Rublev, who envisioned a collaborative effort.

The intention wasn’t just to raise funds but to involve people in the process as well. To offer them a choice in supporting various charities. As per him: “Maybe in a way to have a few options [for charities] and for people to choose which one they prefer, so they feel that they are more involved, that it’s not something that I tried to lie or cheat.” Rublev’s sincerity was clearly visible in his desire to engage people. Especially, in a genuine way and ensuring the charitable aspect was as authentic as his game on the court.
