Stars galore at Arthur Ashe! Carlos Alcaraz and Andre Agassi recently teamed up for a charity doubles match against Novak Djokovic and John McEnroe. Although the Spaniard-American duo ended on the losing side (8-10) at the Fan Week exhibition, Agassi’s daughter, Jaz Elle Agassi, was thrilled to see her father team up with Alcaraz in his ‘Clash of Titans.’ She was amazed to see her energetic father in action in front of a full-house stadium. What followed was a cute gesture!
Despite the 33-year age gap between Alcaraz and Agassi, their exhibition match against Djokovic and McEnroe was a thrilling spectacle. The four players, who were mic’d up for the event, showcased their skills and entertained the New York crowd. A particularly memorable moment was a long rally during the first-to-10 tiebreaker, where Alcaraz and Agassi demonstrated their incredible reflexes.
Djokovic and Agassi also engaged in a captivating “only backhand” rally, showcasing their mastery of one of the most challenging strokes in tennis. Alcaraz and McEnroe stepped aside to allow these two legends to put on a show for the audience. Agassi was even heard asking Alcaraz, “Hit it, man, hit it!” Intensities were high, and that’s what you should expect when 43 Grand Slam title holders share the court, right?

Remember that post when Alcaraz won the Wimbledon Championships in 2023? Although she is not directly involved with tennis, she portrays her love for the sport through her posts on her low-profile social media account. At that time, she had shared a post from Wimbledon’s official page on her IG to pay tribute to the champion.
Then again, in March 2024, we saw her share a post of her father posing with Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz. The picture was actually taken at the Shadow Creek golf course in Las Vegas, where the Spanish duo came up to take part in the Netflix Slam exhibition match. Carlos Alcaraz is a beloved figure in Agassi’s family and the American tennis legend has himself revealed that time and again.

Agassi said although he likes his game and his movements, at times he feels a bit worried seeing him getting a little “static” on the court. According to Agassi, those are the moments when perhaps the Spaniard fails to figure out where to direct his energy. However, he’s hopeful with time he’d figure out these tiny mistakes in his game and become a much better version of himself on the court. Moreover, during the Indian Wells, Carlos Alcaraz spoke about the tips that he had received from Andre Agassi.
He said, “I asked him for a few tips for a few things, on how he was doing things in his career, how he dealt with the pressure or to stay at the high rankings with high intensity during almost his career. He told me you have to give your 100% every day.” Alcaraz has always been a big fan of Agassi. This year the Spaniard has been in red-hot form. Can he bring his third major title of the season on Agassi’s home soil?
