An athletic representative had a great discussion in the Tennis Podcast about how he thinks Andre Agassi would navigate Team World when his captaincy begins next season. In his revelation, the journalist expressed a great impression while listening to the bits and pieces about Grigor Dimitrov’s match against Alejandro Tabilo.

“His insights are off the scale. I am really interested to see He is as the team captain. You know John McEnroe said he said you know Agassi’s more analytical. And I just wanna know if he will be more hand on. I think by this point McEnroe, he is more, you know McEnroe is about just giving little bit of some pieces of advice which to be honest Agassi said, ‘You know once you are at match status you can really do is where the hard work goes in.'”

Agassi further offered a clue about how he is preparing to approach his captaincy. “I can’t help but watch someone’s game and first of all put myself in the skin of their opponent and think, ‘What would I do against this guy?’ and work my way back from there.” As the reporter mentioned, and here in Agassi’s statement, it is clear that he will be more strategically vested for Team World. This is a turning point for them because Agassi’s competitive perspective might truly change Team World’s fate next year. His vision offers assurance that he might utilize Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz, and Frances Tiafoe’s skills strategically for their win next season.

Now, in his last hurrah in Berlin, he passed on advice for his successor. “Well, don’t pay attention to these guys,” he said, referring to Team World’s next captain. This year, Bjorn Borg will also end his captaincy, passing the role to France’s Yannick Noah. At this point, McEnroe’s advice revealed his familiar personality of speaking his mind.
