After being out of the tour for 9 months, Roger Federer has finally announced his comeback. The Swiss maestro will make his much-awaited comeback in his home country at the Swiss Indoors Basel. He last played at the 2021 Wimbledon where he suffered a quarterfinal loss. Post the loss, he underwent a third surgery on his knee. The surgery has forced the former World No. 1 to stay out of the tour ever since then.
Hoping to have a successful comeback, the 40-year-old is giving every bit of himself in training to his fullest. Being one of the most loved players for over two decades, Federer is time and again giving a glimpse of his intense training to the entire tennis community. A similar sight was seen yesterday.

Federer’s love for tennis is known by all. However, the legendary player has a newly found love in social media. Weeks before announcing his comeback, Roger Federer turned up to social media. From someone who wasn’t very active on social media, Federer suddenly became one of the most active social media users. Especially on Instagram.

What does the 20-time Grand Slam champion post? Glimpse of his intense training ahead of his comeback. Since March, Federer has been putting up regular photos/videos showing the intense training he is undergoing. Carrying forward the custom, yesterday, the 19th of May, Federer took to his Instagram, uploading yet another training post.
The Instagram post featured Federer working on his legs along with his trainers. Known for his on-court fitness, Federer indulged in some alternating jumping, weighted squats, and stretching. He captioned the post, “🏋️♂️💥And we keep going 🏃🏻♂️💨”

Moreover, Federer’s struggle with his knee is an affair known to all.
