The world’s former number-one tennis star Roger Federer was spotted being a great father to his kids. This tennis legend also spoke about how fatherhood changed his professional tennis career. Federer said that he gladly invested time in his children while being active on the court professionally. Now that Federer has retired, he has committed his life to giving the right values to his children.

Federer who is the winner of twenty Grand Slams is a full-time father now. However,  being active on the court didn’t let him do the things he desired with his family. While the world’s former number-one is putting family as his first priority, he also wishes to keep being associated with tennis.

In a recent interview, Federer went candid about his fatherhood, family, and tennis. He said- “My daughters are 14 years old, my boys 9. Logistics have become quite complicated. But on Monday, I was able to book a court for Mirka and me for the first time in years. What a crazy good! We also went skiing. In short, I do everything I dreamed of when I stopped.” 

Federer’s statement presented him as a dedicated father and a husband. After long years of professional commitment and fatherhood, Federer does not hesitate to spend quality time with his wife Mirka.

However, despite his commitments, Federer can’t stay apart from tennis for long. He further mentioned- “I wanted to see how I felt to be as a quidam at a tennis competition. I felt very good. I like this sport and I don’t want to go away from it,”

Federer was also spotted in the spectator box of the Wimbledon tournament in 2023. Seeing him, fans saw that this legendary player couldn’t be cut off completely from the sport after his retirement.

Federer wishes to be a great motivational coach for his daughters

Being a father has truly changed things for Federer. He added to his statement by saying- “I wanted to see how I felt to be as a quidam at a tennis competition. I felt very good. I like this sport and I don’t want to go away from it, They have quite a character now. Even if we are very close, it is important that I let them have their experiences. The most important thing is that I pass on the right values ​​to them, especially in today’s ultra-connected world where the internet is omnipresent. I’m trying to be a good father.”

Roger Federer’s recent comments express that he is devoted to his kids and wife for the moment. However, after retirement, Federer still maintains a touchy affair with tennis. Nonetheless, Roger Federer’s statements show a great dedication for the tennis legend to ace his fatherhood role.
