Carlos Alcaraz blazed the stage in a thrilling five-set match! In spite of his injury setback, the Spaniard overcame Jannik Sinner in the semifinals with unwavering persistence. Following the end of the on-court action, Andy Roddick got into a furious Twitter argument with a Novak Djokovic supporter, sparking a new chapter in the drama on social media.

The disagreement started because of how high many thought the Alcaraz-Sinner match was. The American legend wrote, “These guys are so good. Hard to articulate how hard they hit and how well they move. It’s all absurd.”

After debating on the nature of the semi-final clash, he replied to a user, “So either just a troll or a fan of another player that’s not currently getting praised …….  Or both.  Thats where my money would be w this loser.” 

Apparently, the 41-year-old former tennis legend himself completed his answer to his question. He commented, “and I bet I know the player……Pretty typical from a certain fanbase here on Twitter.” As the beef continued the tennis fan agreed with what Roddick was pointing out, “Okay, so all Novakfans HAVE to agree with you? Make it make sense.” 

Subsequently, even after getting a clear troll from a Novak Djokovic fan, the American tennis legend kept it simple and shared an open mind. “Certainly not and I don’t expect that.  Some are just very quick to hate on other players. Different type of vitriol.  Weird actually. If I was a fan of the best ever, I wouldn’t be so insecure about others having a moment. Be well,” he added.

Not only that, as the 24-time Grand Slam champion withdrew from the French Open, Roddick shared a worrying statement regarding the Serb’s remaining 2024 tennis season.

Andy Roddick’s verdict on Novak Djokovic’s remaining 2024 tennis season 

After Djokovic had surgery in Paris to repair his ailing knee, Roddick had a gloomy prediction about the player’s tennis season. According to Roddick’s estimate, Djokovic’s meniscus issue could force him to miss Wimbledon and the Olympics, in addition to possibly having to consider calling off his 2024 season early.

The former US Open champion stated, “He has had surgery and a lot will depend on how bad the tear is. When I was 17, I tore my meniscus, obviously, that is a younger body and played on it for like four or five months.” Even though Djokovic has never won an Olympic gold medal, his desire to succeed in Paris is evident, but Roddick doesn’t think that title is necessary to solidify his place in history as the best of all time.
