Reilly Opelka questions ATP’s morals
Opelka lashed out at the Association of Tennis Professionals after the settlement of Cincinnati Masters. He wrote, “So let me get this straight, Madrid and Cincy sell for $400M/$300M.”

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) sold the ATP 1000 event to financial service firm to Beemok Capital after receiving bids from prominent names such as Billie Jean King. As per the news, Benjamin Navarro’s firm raised a bid as high as 300 million dollars to acquire the tournament. However, the financial terms are still to be disclosed.

Opelka’s noteworthy runs of this season
The American tennis ace hasn’t had a great year, but he sure managed some impactful runs. After having a run till the third round of the Australian Open, he won this season’s Dallas and Delray Beach Open.
Following that, the 24-year-old lost to the 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal in the round of 16 at Indian Wells. Then he outclassed fellow American tennis professional John Isner 6-3 7-6(7) to clinch the ATP Houston trophy.

Further in the Geneva Open, the right-handed tennis ace made up to the semifinals. He lost against the eventual champion, Casper Ruud. Ruud out-muscled Opelka in straight sets of 7-6(2) 7-5.
