He says: Take it to another level, take it to a different place. I don’t just want to take it to another level. I want to take it to a different place.” Franklin, at the moment, acknowledges the importance of pushing boundaries and doing something that tennis has never seen before. In his words: And that’s something where it’s never been.”

In his very next statement, Frances highlights the desire to attract a diverse audience to tennis. It includes those who might not typically watch the sport. He finds the motivation behind this goal intriguing. He says: Get people that wouldn’t normally watch it to tune in. And the why of that is so interesting.”

Franklin, after hearing this, commends Frances and other players like Kyrgios for being authentic. Also, they are unapologetically themselves on and off the court. Their genuine nature and resilience in the face of challenges are qualities that make them approachable and admirable.

Tiafoe brothers on Nick Kyrgios’ unapologetic attitude

Frances Tiafoe applauds Nick’s way to be different than others. He establishes the fact that it doesn’t require someone to follow a certain procedure in order to be themselves. Frances says: And even in that sense, Me and Nick are different. He does his own way, I do mine. But, it’s in the same notion where we’re just like what you see is what you get.”

He then goes on to describe the difference, as he says: Nick is going to be out there breaking rackets, cussing people out. But also playing crazy. You want to watch him. And you know I’m going to be out there smiling and laughing. And shaking hands with the crowd.” Nick’s passionate and fiery approach, and Frances’ friendly and engaging demeanor, both attract viewers. They believe that being genuine on the court is what younger audiences are looking for and sets an example for how to approach the game.
