Novak Djokovic has seen it all this year. After a glorious 2021 season, that saw him win three Grand Slam titles, the Serb didn’t have an ideal beginning to this season. Earlier this year, he was embroiled in a visa controversy in Australia owing to his vaccination status. Subsequently, he endured a lengthy legal battle that ended just a day before the commencement of the Australian Open. The former World Number 1 failed to defend his Australian Open crown after he was deported from Australia.
However, Djokovic has regained his winning touch with an impressive performance at the Wimbledon Championships. He won his 21st Grand Slam title, defeating Australia’s Nick Kyrgios in the summit clash of the grass-court Grand Slam tournament. Recently, there was a massive development regarding Djokovic’s US Open participation.
