Christopher Eubanks is an American professional tennis player who has lately risen up in the ATP singles rankings. He was a part of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets team during his time in college. There, he was a two-time All-American and ACC Player of the Year. On 3 July 2023, he achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 43.
While putting his efforts into the sport, Eubanks had the unflinching support of his family. The American player, especially, had the support of his parents and sibling as he made his way to the top 50.
Christopher Eubanks Sr. – father and mentor

Christopher Eubanks is the father of the current ATP World No.43. His parents moved from Chicago to Atlanta and lived about five minutes away from a tennis academy. His father was Chris’ primary mentor till he was about 13 years old and the reason he chose tennis as his career path. Chris’ father is a Baptist minister who studied industrial engineering while also playing college tennis.

When Eubanks was born, his father was still training his older brother. He told the Daily Mail, “I grew up playing tennis in Atlanta, Georgia. I had an older brother that played tennis and my dad was involved with my brother when I came along.” Despite being the son of a preacher, Chris missed several Sunday services in favor of tennis practice.
His father began training him when he was old enough to walk and grab a racquet. Since then, he started playing the sport regularly and his passion for the sport increased as he competed in local and junior tournaments. However, after he turned 13, his father couldn’t free up his schedule anymore. Therefore, he found a new coach as he entered his teens.
The Eubanks family – siblings and supportive network
Christopher has one brother named Mark. Not much is known about his brother, besides the fact that he was also coached by his father when he was young.
After moving from Chicago to Atlanta, Eubanks became close friends with Donald Young and his family. During high school, he began practising with Young’s parents, who ran the South Fulton Tennis Centre close to Christopher’s house.

During this time, he was also able to practice alongside Young, who was already ranked in the Top 100 of the ATP rankings. Eubanks credits these practice sessions with putting him on the path to becoming a professional.
When he was 13 and lost many times in under-18 tournaments, he was about to pull the plug on his tennis career. However, after he began practicing with Young and improved, he decided to make tennis his main goal.

Eubanks has recently started rising in the sport. After his impressive Wimbledon stint comes to an end, he could land in the top 20.
