After the conclusion of all four Grand Slam events this season, the tennis world is all set for another esteemed championship on the tour. Returning to Turin, Italy, the Nitto ATP Finals will once again look to uphold the high standards set by its past editions, which have often delighted spectators. The top eight singles players on the men’s circuit will compete for one last title this season at the indoor hard courts of Pala Alpitour.

So, let’s run through everything you need to know about the season-ending championship, including the lucrative prize purse, the winner’s payout, and the list of qualified participants.

The prize pool for the 2023 Nitto ATP Finals has increased dramatically as compared to past editions, which is not surprising given the caliber of the event and the growing level of competition each season. With a 103.45% increase compared to the previous season, the round-robin event will now offer a whopping total prize money, which stands at $15,000,000.

The competitors who emerge victorious in the singles and doubles categories of the indoor hard courts event at the Pala Alpitour will get a certain share of the total prize purse.

Who are the confirmed participants at the 2023 Nitto ATP Finals?

After reclaiming his throne as the world No. 1 player and his record-equaling Grand Slam feat, Novak Djokovic is the top seed among the eight participants at the 2023 Nitto ATP Finals. The Serb’s young Spanish adversary, Carlos Alcaraz, is all set to make his debut at the prestigious tournament in Turin after missing out in the previous season due to an injury. Apart from the second-seed Spaniard, another young tennis phenomenon, Holger Rune, will be marking his first participation in the season-ending championship.

Joining the Dane in the elite roaster, Alexander Zverev has also secured a spot, as his participation has now been confirmed after his campaign at the Paris Masters. Jannik Sinner, who has now reached the top five rankings owing to his triumph at the Vienna Open, will also be vying for glory at the ATP Finals. Aside from Djokovic and Alcaraz, the Russian tennis star, Daniil Medvedev is among the favorites to take home the title, given his brilliant form this season.

The top three ranked players will also be wary of Andrey Rublev, who will be entering the event as the fifth seed after some phenomenal runs at the previous three tournaments in Shanghai, Vienna, and Paris. The Greek tennis star, Stefanos Tsitsipas, who recently secured a semifinal finish at the Paris Masters, will also be competing for the title in Turin.

While some players of high caliber have made it to the season-ending championship, others like Hubert Hurkacz and Taylor Fritz are not on the confirmed participant list.
