Alexander Zverev and his girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla, are a match made in heaven. Despite prioritizing her work, Thomalla never misses a chance to cheer for Zverev’s achievements, whether small or big. After spending a few months away during her talented boyfriend’s crucial games, Thomalla has finally landed in London to give all her attention to Zverev this time.

Zverev’s TV presenter girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla, took to her official Instagram story to share her updates from London. She posted an image from London’s restaurant, The Ivy, which was decorated with tennis racquets as ornaments and strawberries to celebrate the Wimbledon season. Thomalla couldn’t attend her ATP star boyfriend’s French Grand Slam due to work commitments. She was in Thailand filming the upcoming season of the German reality show “Are You the One?”

Despite being absent from the gallery box in both Rome and Paris, Thomalla made sure to cheer for her partner. When Zverev won the Italian Open finals this season, Thomalla congratulated her beau with a quirky statement. “He simply knew that I could do more with a cup at home than with a plate (in translation),” wrote the German TV personality, sharing an image of her boyfriend’s victory on her official Instagram profile. Thomalla referred to the finalist’s memento as the plate and showed her confidence about the result.

In a relationship since 2021, Thomalla has been a great support for the German ATP star. With her presence in London, it seems she wishes to physically cheer for Zverev this time. Since Zverev disclosed how Thomalla keeps him calm and focused, her presence at Wimbledon might inspire him to perform incredibly well, just as he did at Roland Garros.

Zverev and Thomalla have graced the media many times, giving adorable couple goals to their followers. However, their eight-year age gap became a subject of public criticism. Ignoring the negativity, Zverev came to Thomalla’s defense, saying, “I think for tennis players it is always very important who you have next to you. Sophia is someone who gives me peace and security.” 

He further added how beautifully they are going strong in their relationship. “We have been together for almost three years now. Everything is wonderful, everything is going well. We are happy that we are together,”- said Zverev.

On the other hand, the Italian Open 2024 winner’s girlfriend expressed her intense love for him, stating she doesn’t care much about what people say. “I don’t think anything of it. It doesn’t really matter to me and it was clear to me from the start that people are suspicious. Even if it had only lasted a month, it wouldn’t have mattered to me,”- she said.

Nevertheless, Sophia Thomalla’s recent photo from London shows that she is ready to support her talented boyfriend at the British Grand Slam. Since her long-distance support encouraged Zverev to win in Rome, her physical presence might motivate him to win his career’s debut Grand Slam title.
