Alexander Zverev, the German tennis star, is currently enjoying a well-deserved vacation after a demanding 2024 season. The year saw him clinch titles at the Italian Open and Paris Masters, as well as reach the Roland Garros final. Despite some setbacks during the hard court swing and Asian tour, Zverev’s impressive performances throughout the year have earned him this much-needed break. Zverev is now unwinding with sea and sunshine.
Alexander Zverev shared the vacation update with a serene post on his Instagram account. The World No.2 headed to Maldives, just like last time, after his unsuccessful campaign at the ATP Finals, in Turin. In the story shared by Zverev, one can see the sunset filling the sky, and calm water competing with the scenery at Jaoli Being, the first wellbeing island of its kind in the Maldives. What is more astounding is the fact that this might be his 4th time in Maldives. Moreover, he is not alone.
Zverev is spending some quality time with his father, Alexander Zverev Sr. and Marcelo Melo, his doubles partner. The trio has been spotted engaging in friendly tennis matches on the sandy shores. Zverev shared a video of their beach tennis session on social media, playfully captioning it “Holidays started but the competition continues 🦁vs🦒.” The lion emoji symbolizes his competitive nature, while the giraffe likely represents Melo’s tall stature.

Last year too, Zverev ended his season as the World No.7 and headed to Maldives with his girlfriend, Sophia Thomala to relax and rejuvenate. And to shed off the stress from the intense season, Zverev opted for sea diving. However, it seems that the Island nation is his favorite destination as a fan account kept track of Zverev’s Maldives outing. They said, “3d year in a row on Maldives together 🥹❤️🔥🧸🐍🏝️deserved romantic vacation time after a hard year’s work for these two, rest good sweeties!😚”\
