“My body is not ready to go from clay to grass now”– said Alexander Zverev, after losing the French Open final in 2024, against Carlos Alcaraz. That was back then. As he skipped the Stuttgart Open, however, the player is all set for the Grass Slam. This time he would hope to crush every challenge, to avoid a repeat of Clay court, as he might have some lady luck backing him up!

The last few months have been tough for the German. In addition to the Grand Slam title evading his hold, the World No.4 had another battle to fight off the court. However, as things have settled down on many fronts, Zverev seems to be unwinding with his love, Sophia Thomalla; before picking up the pace again. It’s a rare thing for the busy couple to get away for some alone time. As the tennis schedule is very demanding, Thomalla’s busy presenter/modeling/acting schedule also keeps her occupied. Resulting in break-up rumors flying high!

However, Zverev wants no more controversy surrounding him in any form, as he recently cleared the air about his personal life. Even after 3 years of being together, rumors of separation have not left them alone. And recently Zverev, said, “We have been together for three years now. It’s all wonderful. Everything is going.” Hopefully, now rumors and tennis fans can rest easy. Zverev is very much happy with his partner.

Furthermore, he revealed the secret sauce for the ‘wonderful’ time they have been having since. He said, “If the woman is happy, the man is also happy.” The World No.4 certainly knows how to keep Thomalla happy. However, it has not been easy for the tennis star, but lucky for him that Thomalla, being a professional herself, understands his commitment towards his sport and country.

Moreover, to support Zverev through his Grass campaign, Thomalla has shelved herself an extra month. And if things go well, tennis fans could catch a glimpse of the lovely couple in London, together.

As everything is settled for the German ace, he would be eyeing Wimbledon Glory. And it’s not just tennis fans who are ready to see a terrific rivalry and thrilling matches on the Wimbledon courts. Roger Federer is also hoping to see the World No.4 playing for Europe at the Laver Cup 2024 with Carlos Alcaraz, after misssing it back in 2022. And consequently missing the Swiss maestro’s farewell.

Roger Federer hopes to see Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz on the same side of the court

It was a once-in-a-lifetime moment, as there won’t be another Roger Federer in this lifetime. However, Zverev was unable to bid adieu to the Swiss tennis legend on the big day. Moreover, he was unable to support Europe in the Laver Cup, as they lost to Team World for the first time. However, Federer hopes that Zverev would participate this time, and bring the cup home! However, the big thing is that he would be playing with his nemesis, Alcaraz, who denied him Roland Garros glory and his first Grand Slam win this year.

In a recent conversation, Roger Federer revealed the coming together of the whole tennis party on the same side. He said, “I’m looking forward to him being in Berlin at the Laver Cup this year. This will be a cool thing, even with Carlos Alcaraz. Hopefully, Rafa will also play–as well as Medvedev. I will also be there in Berlin.”

It would be interesting to watch the two players on the same side. However, before that, there are 3 more stops, Wimbledon, Paris Olympics, and the US Open. And possibly leading to many rematches between the two players.
