British tennis star Andy Murray is among the top tennis players of the current generation. Once a member of the big four, he had the potential to become one of the greatest. However, multiple injury issues derailed his career. The 35-year-old had announced his retirement back in 2019. However, to the relief of many fans, he returned to the Tour.

After the comeback, he lacks the old flair but still does well enough to stay active on the tour. Meanwhile, Murray replied to an interesting question on Twitter. Andy Murray can live without alcohol

Ricky Gervais had an interesting question for his followers on his Twitter account. He gave a list of a few things and decided people to select any three of them without which they can survive their whole life. These were the options: “Free Speech, television, smartphones, Grandparents, alcohol, pets, shoes, medicine, cars, hearing.”

Murray replied, “Alcohol, shoes, smartphone”

French tennis professional Benoit Paire was quick to poke fun at Murray’s answer. He expressed his shock over Murray’s choice of letting go of alcohol. Continuing the banter, Murray replied, “I thought I read you were giving up alcohol, Benoit!”

Further, Benoit came up with another funny response. “Andy Alcohol is the most important in the list. Even more for a Scottish !!” Later, the Frenchman ended the conversation by tweeting “SORRY SIR ANDY”.

The 35-year-old is struggling to regain his form. In his most recent match, the Briton suffered a first-round loss at the Paris Masters.

Murray to work harder on fitness

Andy Murray is not the same after his hip surgery. While his game has lost the old charm, the 35-year-old is also facing other challenges. Throughout this year, he had issues with frequent cramps and spoke about it recently. Murray faced the issue again in his first-round loss at the Paris Masters.

Speaking about the issue, the Briton clarified that cramps have nothing to do with his hip surgery. Further, the former world number one said that he has to work harder on his fitness.

The 35-year-old admitted that he has done very little workout post the US Open and needs to improve his fitness.
