Speaking on the same, John McEnroe’s brother Patrick McEnroe sparked his opinions as he talked about the chances of Team World going into the Laver Cup.

While the team has new faces, some players who played in the Laver Cup last year will play this year as well. McEnroe highlighted the impact that experienced players can bring into the tournament.

Patrick McEnroe is fueled as he aims to retain the Laver Cup title

?It?s always exciting, the matches have always been amazing but I think it adds a little different wrinkle this time that both teams go in, thinking like OK, it?s not completely one-sided when you look at the rankings where it?s been in year?s past,??said McEnroe while talking about this year’s Laver Cup.

Reflecting on the triumph of Team World in the previous edition, Patrick McEnroe spoke about the returning talent, particularly highlighting Felix Auger-Aliassime‘s incredible contribution. With the quest to win the title this year as well, McEnroe anticipates a potential encore performance.

?It [was] awesome to win it last year. We?ve got quite a few of the same guys back who were instrumental in Team World winning it ? Felix [Auger-Aliassime] was incredible and went on a great run after the Laver Cup and I?m expecting the same thing is going to happen this year, he further added.

As the Laver Cup approaches, the anticipation of a thrilling showdown between Team Europe and Team World awaits. With the aim of regaining their crown, Team World would look to do everything they can.
