Medvedev is aiming to win his second US Open title, 2 years after clinching his maiden Grand Slam title in New York. However, after a good first half of the season, he has had a turbulent time recently on the court. Nonetheless, his daughter’s surprise might be a blessing in disguise ahead of the US Open.

Earlier this week, the 27-year-old landed in New York to participate in the US Open. Accompanying him was his family, including his 10-month-old daughter. Hours ago, he shared his daughter’s cute little video on social media.
Taking to his Instagram story, the Russian star posted his daughter unpacking his Lacoste kit wear. The 10-month-old apparently struggled while unpacking the cover. Subsequently, she had an adorable reaction on her face after she didn’t manage to open the wrapper. Nonetheless, she surely melted netizens’ hearts with her innocent face.
The 2021 US Open champion has begun his preparations for the last Grand Slam tournament of the season in full swing. He even shared glimpses of his training session, as he took to the court in New York. Recently, he took a leaf out of Novak Djokovic’s book to defend his slump in form.

Medvedev aims to come back stronger
The Russian star, who isn’t having the best of times on the tennis court recently, explained adapting to different surfaces taking Djokovic’s example. He said, “You know, we have guys like Novak. I’m sure that when he started 17 years ago winning Grand Slams, everything was different. The courts, the balls. He was still winning.”

The former World Number One is finding it difficult to adapt to slower hard courts. Nonetheless, he’ll aim to put on a good show in the US Open starting on August 28.
