Djokovic has landed in Malaga ahead of the Davis Cup Finals campaign.

Now that Djokovic looks forward to the prestigious Davis Cup, an unexpected guest waited to greet the Serb. Feliciano Lopez, the Spanish former world No.12, playfully complimented the Serb, “Forever young, or what?” at the Malaga Airport. To this, Djokovic, the current world No. 1, responded with the same tone as he said, “You know how it feels, huh!?”

This light-hearted conversation marked the start of Djokovic’s journey in the Davis Cup Finals, where he aims to maintain his dominant form to gain a title for his nation as well. As the legend recently marked his year-end goals of finishing as no. 1 and winning another title, one more goal still remains to be conquered.

While Novak Djokovic arrives on the back of his massive triumph at the ATP Finals, the legend keeps himself determined to secure another victory to his and his country’s name. “The season is not finished yet. I really would like to win the Davis Cup with Serbia. That’s a goal. It’s an important week for us, for our nation. We’ll do our best,” the 36-year-old mentioned.

Serbia’s run for the Davis Cup glory is now about to witness a challenging twist as they are all set to face Great Britain. The intensity of competition seems to be lightened as key British players, Dan Evans and Andy Murray, are currently injured. However, despite these setbacks, Britain still has strong elements with world number 18 Cameron Norrie and rising star Jack Draper in the lineup.
