We are all quite aware of Jannik Sinner’s incredible tennis skills, but do you have any idea about his acting skills? Well, recently, after winning the final match against Carlos Alcaraz at the Six Kings Slam, Sinner gave an oncourt interview. During that interview, the Italian shared a funny story about filming the Six Kings Slam trailer. What was the story all about, though?
The Six Kings Slam is a tennis exhibition tournament held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This exhibition took place on October 16, 17, and 19. Several superstars of the tennis world, including Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, and Holger Rune, took part in this event. Even before the start of this tournament, its staggering prize money and stunning trailer stunned the whole tennis world. Talking about the prize money, the winner of this event took home $6 million, and guess what? That’s the largest prize money in the history of the sport. Now talking about its incredible trailer, each of these tennis stars was celebrated as ‘heroes’ of men’s tennis in this small trailer.
For example, Alcaraz was the ‘Sand Man’, Sinner was the ‘Rennaisance Artist’, Rune was a ‘Viking Warrior’, Medvedev (King of Bears), Nadal (Clay Warrior), and Novak Djokovic was the ‘Leader of the Wolves’. Jannik Sinner was seen toppling a Roman-style sculpture of himself. The trailer received a lot of love from the fans. Speaking on the same trailer and his acting skills during the interview, Jannik Sinner revealed, “If we watch the details, I’m the only one who’s sweating, and I tell you the story now. So we’ve been there in this, and it was kind of a structure like this. Obviously much, much smaller, and it was so hot! We made it in before London, Wimbledon. It was so hot; as you can see, I was sweating all the time.”

Sinner further went on to add, “The hair went up like this because of the fan, and every time I do that and the hair pops up like this. So it was exhausting, but was so much fun. It was quite an experience.”

Jannik Sinner defeated Carlos Alcaraz by 6(5)-7,6-3,6-3 to become the last king standing in this mega event. Although Alcaraz has defeated Sinner on each of the three occasions in this season, this time the result was in favor of the Italian. However, unfortunately for Sinner, this match is not officially counted in the tour-level head-to-head record. Hence, he’s still trailing by 4-6 in the H2H scoreline against Carlos Alcaraz.

However, while sharing their thoughts on this epic match, both these tennis stars heaped praise on each other’s contributions to this rivalry. Jannik Sinner said, “I wake up in the morning trying to understand the ways to beat him. This kind of rivalries and players push us to our 100% limit. I’m happy about this today.” The ‘Renaissance Artist’ further added, “But the reason we came here was to show all of you what tennis is about. It can be long sometimes, like today. But we just try our best. Hopefully, you enjoyed the show.” What did the ‘Sand Man’ say in reply?
“I want to say I’m grateful to have him around on tour,” said Alcaraz. He stated that it’s a pleasure for him to share the court with a talented player like Jannik Sinner. With this season coming to an end and each of these two tennis stars sharing two Grand Slam titles each in 2024. Who do you think will have the maximum number of major titles in the next season?
