Novak Djokovic gives a befitting response
The 21 times Grand Slam champion just before his finals match in Turin stumbled upon a question of if the big $ 4.7 million prize money had “gone to his head”. To which he responded subtly and gave a witty answer. “I will tell you what Ibrahimovic said when he was asked in America why he did not accept 100 million dollars to move from one club to another.”
“Money is not important. A lot of money is important, and 100 million is not a lot of money,” Djokovic said. However, following that, he confessed his real feelings about the matter. “Of course, this was a good joke. I quoted it does not mean that I think and say the same.”
“Information about our income is publicly available to everyone, and what the media does not write about are the taxes and other expenses we pay,” he added. Djokovic qualified for the ATP Finals this season on the basis of his Wimbledon victory. Many raised fingers at that decision as well. Majorly because no one other than him, including the runner-up Nick Kyrgios, could take profit from their splendid runs.

Djokovic receives a green flag from Australia
Djokovic has finally received a legal pass to get into the nation and participate in the Grand Slam. The three-year ban which was imposed by the former Australian government was overturned. Andrew Giles, the current immigration minister, announced that he will be granted a visa to play in the 2023 session.
